Pneumatic mechanical high-torque core chucks are recommended primarily for unwinding, where perfect centering is needed. It can also be used for winding and rewinding, and is superior for higher weight, speed, and torque requirements. Pneumatic/mechanical high-torque core chucks provide the highest torque and weight-bearing capacity of any chuck style.

Standard sizes available for Convertech's pneumatic/mechanical high-torque core chuck are from 3" to 12" diameters. The body of the chuck and the expandors are available in steel only. This core chuck is available in flange or cantilevered type mountings.

When running different core diameters, Convertech also offers interchangeable adapters which can be fitted onto one base chuck.
